Lovely writing groups today at Victoria Junior School
Lots of discussion and laughs thrown in I read out one of my own poems called I love and then helped the children to write their own versions.
They were awesome and I got to learn a little more about the girls that have been coming to the writing club. 4pm to 5:30pm Maryport Library
Writing for 8-12 year olds Two new members arrived, sisters, and joined in the session.
Welcome Molly and Madelyn. I read a couple of weather poems out loud and then we started to generate lots of weather words as a group. Once enough words had been collected the children started to think about the type of weather they wanted to write about. Once a theme had been decided upon children had to think of an angle, a starting point, a way in. The results were very pleasing. |
