The Garden
From a peeling padlocked shed in the corner To the wooden painted fence, acting as a border The ground is layered far with trimmed grass Sat in the corner is a conservatory covered in glass At the top of the lawn is a petal covered patio And from the patio you can peer through the conservatory window The dirty scented bins are sat outside the back door Down by the small brick covered floor Lined along the sides are my mother's herbs Next to it a bird box where the birds are being disturbed My dad's growing fruits are along the back That used to be the only thing the garden used to lack There's a table and chairs with a few rustic candles With little, mini broken handles There is a little mini caterpillar that likes to say pardon and those are the things that are in my garden! "Thanks Beth for sharing your poem, keep writing and sending until writing club starts again in September"...........Natalie Congratulations and thank you to all the children that came along to Maryport Library to read out their poems. The paintings will be on display all summer at the library and the book is available to buy. Just ask for an order form through your primary school or leave a message on my home page and I will email further details.
